Research Grants & Charitable Funding Awarded

The Nineveh Charitable Trust provides research grants and charitable funding for UK-based projects that benefit the General Public. Education, access and preservation of the countryside are common themes, but we welcome creative new approaches that meet our charitable objectives (see the Trust's Aims page)

Grants Awarded 2007 to Date

View the table below for details about the most recent research grants that we have awarded. Perhaps you are looking for like-minded UK organisations? See our growing list of supported projects as a useful informational resource; the links will take you to their websites.

The Grants Awarded Map to the left of this page shows our donations remain concentrated in the South-East of England. This distribution reflects our applicants, not our geographical prejudice. We believe the kinds of projects we have funded must occur throughout the UK, but few applications reach us from the Midlands or the North of England (for example). Why is this? We are keen to help you: Please spread the word and 'Like' us on Facebook as well!

Charitable Funding

The Nineveh Charitable Trust has developed its charitable support by the sale of all our farm entities. A brochure about the farm prepared by btf is available to download.

Following the death of Mrs James in 2000 the Trustees decided to rebuild the funding capital; apart from funding arrangements previously agreed no new commitments were made.

With the death of Professor James in 2007, his legacy was used in 2012 to enhance our capital fund, giving us much greater scope to provide awards that support the objects of the Trust in the future and to facilitate the aims that Professor and Mrs James originally envisaged.
